Once an office visit has been scheduled, most people are eager to get through the fitting process and begin using their new prosthesis as soon as possible.
Cosmesis is the art of making a prosthetic limb appear lifelike. Sometimes cosmesis refers to a removable covering such as a glove that fits on a prosthetic hand, or flesh colored stockings that slip over a prosthetic leg.
Rehabilitation means the restoration to the maximum degree possible of a person suffering from disease or injury. We provide suggestions on how to increase the odds that you meet your maximum degree of potential.
