Douglas C. Reber, CO.LO Director, Education and National Residency Program
Mr. Reber received his undergraduate education from Ocean County College in 1987. In 1988, he received his Post Graduate Certificate in Orthotics from Northwestern University. In 1991 Mr. Reber received his Certification in Orthotics form the American Board of Certification.
From 1991-1997 he served as a Certified Orthotist where he served as a staff Orthotist for Clayton Prosthetics and thru acquisition for Advanced Orthopedic Technology's. From 1997-2012, he served as the practice manager / Certified Orthotist for Nova Care and thru acquisition Hanger Clinic in Wall, New Jersey where he specialized in pediatric orthotics. In 2012, he became Associate Director of Education spear heading programs such as Mock Exams, Orthotic Fitters Education, Hanger Clinic's on-line education portal e-Versity and Hanger's premier event "Education Fair & National Meeting". In 2012, he also became one of Hanger Clinic's National Orthotics Specialists where he focused on Cranial Remolding Orthotics, Overseeing the National Cranial Remolding and lead instructer for the Cranial Remolding courses.. In 2016, Mr. Reber took over the role as the Director of Education and in 2017 was named the Director of the National Residency Program.
Mr. Reber has held numerous board and committee leadership positions and is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetist (AAOP) in 2006- 2008 and 2016-2018. Mr. Reber was the president of New Jersey Chapter, of the American Academy of Orthotist and Prosthetist. Mr. Reber resides in New Jersey with his wife Karen of 29 years and their son Kevin who currently attends Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. Mr. Reber and family enjoy days at the beach, vacations and golfing.
Colleen Krusiewicz, Admin Assistant, National Resident Liaison
Ms. Krusiewicz received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University. She began working for Hanger Clinic as an Academic Assistant with The Newington Certificate Program in Orthotics & Prosthetics. In 2014, she transitioned to the Hanger Clinical Services Department as an Administrative Assistant working primarily with the Education Department as the site administrator for eVersity, administrative support for several educational courses such as the Mock Exams, ComfortFlex Socket Course, Insignia Hanger Cranial Band Training Course, and the Orthotic Fitter's Course. Colleen was also previously involved with the National Residency Program very briefly as program leadership shifted and prior to adding the responsibilities of Executive Assistant for the VP of Clinical Services to her responsibilities. Colleen will be focusing on her role with the Education Department and also serving as Hanger's National Resident Liaison with administration of the Hanger's National Residency Program and is the resident liaison to the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE).
