Dan is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and area clinic manager for Hanger Clinic in Naperville, Illinois.
As a clinician with over 25 years of experience in the field, Dan has extensive experience in lower extremity prostheses and pediatric orthotic and prosthetic management. He is certified to fit microprocessor knees, motor-powered microprocessor knees, iWalk BiOM® bionic foot, C-Leg microprocessor-controlled knee prosthesis, and Proprio Foot, an adaptive microprocessor controlled ankle. Dan is trained in functional electrical stimulation for foot drop and has provided dozens of patients with the WalkAide® and Bioness Systems. He is experienced in the Gomez Orthotic Spine Systems (GOSS) approach to conservative scoliosis treatment using computer aided design.
Dan regularly attends the Marianjoy orthotic clinic and volunteers at the annual Marianjoy golf rehabilitation clinic for patients who wear prostheses and orthoses. He frequently lectures to various groups, including the Marianjoy, Loyola, and Rush Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents and the University of Illinois/Chicago Orthopedic residents.
