Katie is an ABC-certified orthotist and board-eligible prosthetist in Lafayette, Colorado.
Katie was first introduced to the field after her grandmother utilized spinal orthoses following a series of spinal procedures. She loved hearing her grandmother’s positive experience with her orthotist and wanted to create that same positive experience for others.
Following graduation, Katie completed her orthotic residency at University of California, San Francisco where she gained experience in complex lower extremity orthotics, orthotic management post trauma, and pediatric orthotic management. Katie then completed her prosthetic residency at Hanger Clinic in Lafayette, Colorado where she gained a wide variety of experience with a focus on adult lower extremity prosthetic management.
Katie’s favorite part of the field is being able to create and adjust a device to help a patient find their own version of success, whether it is managing a contracture, taking a walk to the mail box, running a marathon, or anywhere in between! Katie loves helping all people with orthotic and prosthetic needs but specifically enjoys working with the adult and geriatric populations.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys taking walks with her dog, quilting, baking, and finding new ice cream spots to try out.
