Sarah is a BOC-certified orthotist for Hanger Clinic in the Greater Sacramento area with more than fifteen years of experience. She sees exclusively pediatric patients, and particularly enjoys lower extremity orthotics and cranial remolding orthoses (CROs). She often works with referrals from Shriners, UC Davis, Kaiser Permanente and Sutter Health as well as smaller local pediatric practices.
Sarah appreciates that orthotics is a profession that allows you to combine science and mechanics with hands on skills and working with people. Every day is completely different with new challenges. She especially enjoys working in pediatrics and seeing her young patients grow and develop, and this includes her cranial remolding patients. She knows that the results that can be achieved with CROs are truly remarkable and that it’s important to work with parents and caregivers to help them feel comfortable with the process. She makes herself available after hours when needed, because she knows that things inevitably seem to pop up at 6 p.m. on a Friday after everywhere is closed.
Sarah is part of the business advisory council for the Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, Sarah spends time with her husband and two young children, cooking, eating and traveling.
