Thom is an ABC-certified orthotist who brings more than thirty years of experience to Hanger Clinic in Kansas City. He provides orthotic care for a variety of patients, with a dual focus of managing foot and ankle pathologies and caring for pediatric patients. He is also experienced in treating individuals with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Thom is passionate about the work he does because it provides him the opportunity to improve each patient’s quality of life.
Part of his focus on pediatric patients includes treating cranial asymmetry. Thom enjoys the challenges of putting (often new) parents at ease and guiding them through the cranial helmet therapy process. Seeing the smiling, happy patients is a personal joy of Thom’s.
Outside of work, Thom enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen, and their two daughters. He also loves to travel and is an avid sailor.
