Joseph is an ABC-certified prosthetist for Hanger Clinic in Livonia, Michigan.

As a clinician with more than 17 years of experience in the field, Joseph specializes in pediatrics with children from nine months old through adolescence. He is skilled in the prosthetic management of congenital and traumatic upper limb differences/absences, with a focus on myoelectric prostheses, high consistency rubber (HCR) silicone socket fabrication, and activity-specific prostheses.

Joseph is passionate about building lifelong rapport with his patients and helping empower them so they can return to living extraordinary lives. When he sees children thrive using a prosthetic he helped design, and the parents’ realization of the world of possibilities that creates, he describes it as more rewarding than words can explain. A third-generation prosthetist, Joseph sees prosthetics as the merging of medicine, mechanics, engineering, and art.`

Joseph extends his commitment to pediatric prosthetics beyond his Hanger Clinic patients, serving as the chief prosthetist for a local program that provides prosthetic care to underserved children. He was introduced to VMC as a 12-year-old when shadowing his father who worked there as a technician building myoelectric arms for pediatric patients.
