Pre and Post-operative Rehabilitation Strategies for Amputees
Hanger Clinic’s Professional Education team is excited to host a unique opportunity for medical professionals to participate in evidence-based clinical education programming and network with world-class orthotists and prosthetists at EmpowerFest 2021.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, learners will be able to:
- List various successful therapy care plans based on patient profile
- Comprehend the breadth of research & outcomes associated with improved mobility and quality of life
- Compare the techniques for immediate and early prosthetic interventions
- Provide criteria to determine the patient’s readiness for prosthetic rehabilitation
- Identify key components of pre-prosthetic and prosthetic training program
COVID-19 Precautions
We are looking forward to hosting an in-person EmpowerFest event and reuniting with past participants as well as meeting new friends. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will take precautions based on state and federal mandates and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As of now, this includes wearing a mask, enhanced sanitization measures at the hotel, and participants must remain home if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or exposure. Vaccinations will not be required but are highly encouraged. We will be in close contact with attendees on all safety protocols, especially as they develop in the coming weeks.
Cancellation Policy
If the event is cancelled by Hanger Clinic for any reason, attendees will be notified via email and receive a full refund. Full refunds are available for attendees if a written request is received within 48 hours of registering for the event. After this date, refunds are not available.
