August 7, 2020 Physicians Professional Education
An important role for a prescribing physician is to identify a patient’s medical necessity for a prosthetic device as well as their future potential for ambulation. Working with other members of the healthcare team (i.e. prosthetists and therapists) can help ensure a comprehensive approach to identifying the most appropriate K level and can reduce the time it takes to collect the required documentation. This course is designed to educate physicians on how to produce meaningful, evidence-based documentation with the support of prosthetists for a better patient outcome.

Each year, approximately 1,000 pediatricians, neurologists, surgeons, therapists, nurses, special educators, engineers, and scientists from all over the world gather for the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) Meeting to learn about technical advances in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cerebral palsy and other childhood onset disabilities.
Hanger Clinic reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances that would make the event non-viable. If Hanger Clinic cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at a new, future date. Should a participant need to withdraw their registration, the deadline to receive a full refund is three business days before the event.
