About This Course
Shared decision making is reshaping how O&P clinicians collaborate with patients and with the broader care team. This session bridges two sides of that practice: formally validated tools built on years of research, and the patient interview techniques that bring those principles into every clinical encounter. Hear from researchers, educators, and clinical faculty on why both matter and how the next generation of practitioners is being trained to lead with them. AI enabled clinical tools that support practical implementation of shared decision making will also be covered. For PTs, OTs, and physicians working alongside O&P providers, it’s a practical look at how shared decision making can strengthen the collaborative relationship and improve patient outcomes.
Target Audience: Rehabilitation professionals, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, O&P clinicians, and physicians
