Microaggressions are often unintentional expressions of racism, sexism, ageism, or ableism. They come out in seemingly innocuous comments by people who might be well-intentioned. They can make a workplace feel uncomfortable, unsafe, and toxic.

Join us for the latest in the PowerUp webinar series where a panel of O&P leaders will discuss microaggressions, talk about their impact on individuals and the work environment, and share experiences and best practices for addressing them with co-workers and patients.

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, learners will be able to:

  • Define workplace microaggressions
  • Recognize when a microaggression has occurred and what message it may be sending
  • Design strategies for how to address microaggressions in the workplace
