About This Course
Successful patient outcomes are achieved when healthcare professionals work together toward shared goals. Orthotists and prosthetists are integral members of the interdisciplinary care team, providing specialized expertise in biomechanics, functional mobility, and individualized interventions that support patients throughout every stage of life. This webinar explores the evolving role of orthotists and prosthetists in collaborative, relationship-centered care and demonstrates how coordinated treatment planning and long-term clinical partnerships can improve mobility, reduce secondary complications, enhance participation, and improve quality of life across a lifetime.
This webinar brings the clinical partnership to life through clinical examples, supportive research, and interdisciplinary perspectives, with special attention to pediatric populations where family-centered, coordinated care across developmental milestones shapes outcomes that last a lifetime — and invites the broader healthcare team to understand when and how to engage orthotists and prosthetists as the collaborative partners they are.
