Quantifying Sagittal Synostosis Presentation from Screening through Treatment
Sagittal synostosis is the most common type of non-syndromic, single-suture craniosynostosis and accounts for approximately 50% of cases. Premature fusion of the sagittal suture inhibits radial growth of the adjacent parietal structure, resulting in a generally scaphocephalic skull deformity with striking morphological characteristics that typically manifest in all three anatomical planes.
