Angela Bauer is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and clinic manager for Hanger Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
As a clinician with more than 20 years of experience in the field, Angela provides prosthetic and orthotic care to children with a wide range of diagnoses and needs. She focuses on pediatric lower extremity orthotics, cranial remolding orthoses, the management of scoliosis (infantile, juvenile, and adolescent), cerebral palsy, developmental delay, lower extremity prosthetics, and down syndrome.
Angela is passionate about helping her patients to enhance their quality of life, improve deformities, and help relieve pain. She believes there is something very special about being able to reshape a child’s head, and finds it incredibly rewarding to support a child’s ability to take their first steps, or help an amputee learn to walk again.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her pup. She has participated in Adaptive Adventures and has traveled to Guatemala multiple times to do humanitarian work in prosthetics and orthotics with Range of Motion Project (ROMP) Global.
