Doug is an ABC-certified prosthetist who brings close to 30 years of experience treating prosthetic patients of all ages. He recently moved back to South Jersey after practicing in the Midwest for more than 25 years.
Doug is highly skilled in lower extremity prosthetics utilizing pin, passive suction, and elevated vacuum systems for suspension. Additionally, he has experience with upper extremity devices, both body-powered and myoelectric. He is certified in the use of various microprocessor knees and feet. Over the course of his career, Doug continues to keep abreast of new technologies and materials while staying firmly grounded in the fundamental principles that produce the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Doug takes the time to understand each patient’s prosthetic goals, researches and develops a treatment plan based on his assessment, and then educates both patient and family on how to best achieve those goals. He is committed to providing his patients with the best possible care.
Doug and his wife moved back to South Jersey to enjoy time with and help care for his aging mother. They enjoy the outdoors, both on and off the water. In their downtime, you will often find them picnicking on the beach, crabbing and fishing with Doug’s mom, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, or taking long walks on the beach with their rescue dog, Buddy.
