Carrie is an ABC-certified orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
As a clinician with more than 15 years of experience in the field, Carrie works with patients of all ages. She specializes in the management of scoliosis, pectus carinatum, cranial, clubfoot, cerebral palsy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), stroke (CVA), cerebral palsy (CP), multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and working with 3D scanning technology. She also specializes in treating scoliosis and spinal conditions using a variety of orthotics including the 3D Boston, bending, and night-time braces.
While getting her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Carrie worked as a PTA. This background has given her an increased appreciation for the body as a whole, not a diagnosis. She enjoys solving problems and helping patients reach their goals whether from infancy into adulthood or from independent to dependent living. As a mother, she understands the desire for each pediatric family to be heard and understood while doing the best for their child. She enjoys working with children and gauging a child’s personality to talking to them on their own terms.
Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and gardening with her husband and four children.
