Conrad Slater is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Olympia, Washington.
As a clinician, Conrad specializes in individuals of all ages and needs, but he particularly enjoys working with patients who would benefit from partial hand prostheses or knee-ankle-foot orthoses. Conrad is passionate about 3D printed orthotic and prosthetic devices, providing these as a lightweight alternative to traditional options.
In addition to patient care, Conrad is involved in clinician development and resident education. He engages in prosthetic gait research and patient outcomes, in which he has partnered with the University of Washington and the VA Puget Sound Center for Limb Loss and Mobility to aid in the advancement of P&O research. Conrad is also an advocate for a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. Part of his efforts to achieve this include collaborating with Olympic Sports & Spine occupational and physical therapists, as well as providing guest lectures to the University of Puget Sound occupational therapy program.
Outside of work, Conrad enjoys riding his motorcycle, practicing kendo, and spending time with his wife.
