The Born to Adapt trail race is designed by adaptive athletes for adaptive athletes, and offers many different options for participants at all levels. This year’s event will feature three races: the 3 Hour Challenge, the 10 Mile Challenge, and the 30 Mile Challenge. For those who want to support or participate but can’t make it to the ranch this year, you can also join us for the virtual 5K!
Born to Adapt 3 Hour Challenge
This event is for adaptive athletes specifically. The run will start at 10 a.m. and go until 1 p.m. Start/Finish will take place at the Born to Run Ultra Marathon Start/Finish, which is happening at the same time, at the same location. All abilities are welcome! We are creating a roughly 1 mile loop that you can move through as many times as you want. There is no obligation to run the entire 3 Hours. Your can take breaks, do 1 lap, or no laps–the only rule is to have fun.
Born to Adapt 10 Mile
The 2023 Born To Adapt 10 Mile Endurance Run will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday and remain open until noon on Sunday. The course covers one 10 mile loop within a fenced cattle ranch. The course is 100% dirt, road, and trail, and is well marked to ensure nobody gets lost. Pacers and guides are permitted.
Born to Adapt 30 Mile
The 2023 Born To Adapt 30 Mile Endurance Run will start at will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday and remain open until noon on Sunday. The course is comprised of 20 mile loops within a fenced cattle ranch. The course is 100% dirt, road, and trail, and is well marked to ensure nobody gets lost. There is approximately 2300 feet of gain per each 20 mile loop. Pacers and guides are permitted.
Born to Adapt Virtual
If you want to support Born to Adapt but can’t make it in person, the Virtual 5k is your opportunity to run some miles with us, wherever you are, regardless of your ability. This is for all athletes – not just adaptive athletes! Your registration in the Virtual 5k helps support the Born to Adapt participants who enter on the sliding scale. We want to eliminate the financial barrier many adaptive athletes face and this is a way to help.
