York Divers*, University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute, and Hanger Clinic have joined together to host a free adaptive scuba diving clinic with an experienced team of professionals. All individuals with disabilities/special needs and over the age of 10 are welcome.

Benefits of Adaptive Scuba Diving

  • Zero-gravity atmosphere permits physical movements often not possible on land (has been likened to “underwater yoga”)

All participants will be required to sign a waiver. If the participant is under 18, a legal guardian or parent must be present and sign the waiver.

*All York Divers’ staff are Handicap Scuba Association certified Instructors and Adaptive Dive Buddies.
