Amanda is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Lafayette and Opelousas, Louisiana.
As a clinician with nearly a decade of experience, Amanda specializes in a variety of pediatric orthotic interventions, including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and infant cranial asymmetry. She takes pride in making a difference not only in her patients’ lives but also the lives of their families. When it comes to treating pediatric patients, Amanda cherishes building relationships with her patients and their families and seeing each child grow and progress in their care journey.
What Amanda particularly enjoys about orthotic and prosthetic care is the challenge of designing a brace or prosthesis for each patient’s specific needs. While different patients may have the same diagnosis, each individual may require a different device design. She finds this challenge to be rewarding and fulfilling.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys training for and racing in triathlons, anything outdoors, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
