Erin is an ABC-certified orthotist with nearly thirty years of experience. She practices at the Hanger Clinic locations in Duluth and Hibbing, Minnesota, and is passionate about O&P because it offers her the chance to help a patient over the course of many years. She focuses on connecting patients to appropriate resources in healthcare as well as other opportunities for recreation, like the annual pediatric ice cream social that she created to enable families to connect with their O&P team, physicians, community therapists, and other families.
Erin sees patients of all ages for trauma and neurotrauma management, and pediatric patients for management of a broad spectrum of conditions including idiopathic and neuromuscular scoliosis, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and cranial asymmetry. She attends neuromuscular and spina bifida clinics on a monthly basis and works closely with pediatric therapies at local hospitals.
When working with cranial remolding patients, Erin finds it rewarding to follow patients’ progress as they grow, seeing improvement over time and providing quantifiable outcomes to their families.
Outside of work, Erin likes to cook, volunteer, and listen to live music. She’s previously helped with a variety of adaptive sports and recreation activities for all ages, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of a community non-profit that encourages people of all abilities to achieve their goals.
