John is an ABC-certified prosthetist who specializes in both upper and lower limb prosthetics for Hanger Clinic in the New York Metro area.
As a prosthetist with more than 32 years of experience, John focuses on helping people with limb loss reach their goals by maximizing function. He is passionate about staying at the forefront of technological advancements and takes pride in developing innovative, personalized care plans that empower his patients to reach their highest potential.
John is a fellow with Distinction of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and chairs the Lower Limb Prosthetic Society. He has specialized experience with active, proximal-level, bilateral, amputation patients as well as immediate post-operative care. He is also the co-inventor of the patented Air-Limb™, and plays an active role in researching and applying new prosthetic technologies. John is a founding member of the Center for Amputation Reconstruction where patients receive holistic care for complex problems related to their amputation.
John is a prominent figure in education and knowledge-sharing within the profession, regularly presenting at academic conferences and medical institutions, publishing in textbooks and professional journals, and teaching continuing education courses for physicians, therapists, and prosthetists. He is most proud of the next generation of clinicians he has mentored as prosthetic residents.
