AJ is an ABC-certified pedorthist and orthotic fitter who serves as Community Care Coordinator for Hanger Clinic in New Jersey.
He started in the O&P field as a technician in 2015, later becoming a certified fitter, and then a licensed, certified pedorthist.
As an above-knee amputee himself, AJ shares both his personal experiences and his clinical knowledge with fellow amputees. In his role as Community Care Coordinator, he helps provide resources and connect patients and family members to amputee support groups, AMPOWER volunteers, and grief support options. He also meets with all new prosthetic patients as possible, including before surgery, during inpatient recovery, and during rehabilitation, attending physician visits with patients as required. AJ enjoys being able to help pave the way for a fellow amputee to succeed.
