Al Still is a BOC-certified orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana.
With more than 30 years of experience in the orthotics and prosthetics field, Al brings extensive technical expertise and a patient‑centered approach to delivering individualized orthopedic solutions.
Al began his career in 1989 as a technician, developing a strong foundation in fabrication, modification, casting, and fitting for a wide range of orthotic and prosthetic devices. Over the years, he advanced into full clinical responsibilities, earning recognition for his collaborative care, precise craftsmanship, and dedication to improving patient mobility and comfort.
Before joining Hanger Clinic, Al served as a Clinician with Arnold Orthotics and Prosthetics beginning in 2021, providing comprehensive evaluations, custom and prefabricated orthotic fittings, and interdisciplinary care alongside physicians and rehabilitation teams. He previously spent fourteen years as a clinician with Snell’s Orthotics & Prosthetics in Shreveport, where he specialized in biomechanical assessments, device design and fitting, and training new clinical staff. Earlier positions with Advantage Prosthetics & Orthotics, Shriners Children’s Hospital, and Advanced Prosthetic Laboratories strengthened his expertise in pediatric orthotics, AFO fabrication and modification, laminations, and custom foot orthotics.
Outside of work, Al enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheila, their three daughters, and two grandchildren. A lifelong resident of the Shreveport area, he remains an active member of his church and local community.
