Alicia is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Bettendorf and Dubuque, Iowa.
As a clinician with over 5 years of experience, Alicia works with patients of all ages but tends to focus more in pediatrics. She specializes in custom spinal orthoses, below-knee prostheses, wound care treatment, and a wide variety of interventions for patients of all ages. She is passionate about finding the device that makes the most sense for each patient, even if it’s the simplest solution.
Alicia also specializes in cranial remolding orthoses (CROs) for infants. Working with cranial patients gives her the best of both worlds, as she gets to help change the future of the children she treats while also supporting their parents and families. Alicia recognizes how integral education is to the cranial treatment journey, and she is fully committed to taking the time to discuss every detail and answer any questions a family may have at each stage in the journey. Alicia finds it extremely rewarding to watch each child grow and change over the course of their treatment.
She is passionate about orthotic and prosthetic care because she is able to provide so much more than just technology to each patient. At appointments, Alicia is committed to providing education about the care journey, emotional support, and technology that helps allow her patients to work towards their goals. She enjoys the relationships she develops with patients and their families and cherishes being able to celebrate their successes with them.
She also educates and supports a local peer support group for amputees and encourages others to reach out to Hanger Clinic’s peer mentors for support.
