Amy Bridges is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri.
As a clinician, Amy has a passion for idiopathic and neuromuscular scoliosis, with expertise in HALO placement and traction, scoliosis bracing (Providence, Boston, Rigo Cheneau TLSOs), and Mehta casting. She gained extensive pediatric experience working in busy multidisciplinary clinics in Atlanta, GA for 14 years including muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and cerebral palsy.
Amy finds O&P very rewarding in that she gets to help people live a better, more functional life while also incorporating her love of art in designing O&P devices. She enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians and therapists.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, and doing pottery. Amy was converted to being a Braves fan but still roots for her hometown team in football. Go Chiefs!
