Amy is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, Michigan.
As a clinician, Amy specializes in infant cranial asymmetry, pediatric orthotics, and below-knee prosthetics. She completed her orthotic residency at the Connecticut Children’s Hospital, where she was trained to provide care to children with a wide variety of diagnoses.
Amy is passionate about helping empower patients to achieve their potential with the help of the orthotic or prosthetic devices that best meet their unique needs. She enjoys working with cranial remolding orthosis (CRO) patients and their families and is committed to making them feel comfortable with any concerns they may have throughout treatment. By explaining how recent cranial research correlates to their current situation, the families can better understand what to expect throughout treatment. Amy is always sure to leverage quantifiable outcomes data to track each patient’s progress throughout their care journey.
Outside of the office, Amy sees pediatric patients at various clinics alongside local physicians and physical therapists. By collaborating directly with local medical providers, she is able to help the patients reach their orthotic goals.
In addition to patient care, Amy is an ABC board examiner for the orthotic Clinical Patient Management Exam. She also mentors orthotic and prosthetic students and residents during their clinical rotations, in addition to local University medical students during their clinical rotations.
