Carlo is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Louisiana.
As a pediatric clinician with more than 7 years of experience, Carlo specializes in a variety of diagnoses and presentations, including but not limited to, toe walkers, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, arthrogryposis, ACL injuries, pes planus, back pain, hypotonia, and post op care. He provides effective care to children with the goal of empowering them to achieve their potential with the help of orthotic and prosthetic devices that best meet their unique needs. Carlo enjoys the field of O&P because it is a fusion of patient care, art, engineering, research, and teamwork.
Carlo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and speaks Spanish and English fluently. As a bilingual healthcare provider, he has the opportunity to connect with patients and their families in a very meaningful way, helping to provide a comfortable experience and better quality of care by ensuring the patient and their support system understand the treatment plan. As a pediatric specialist, Carlo strives to make long lasting and positive impacts on his patients’ lives, which in turn also helps him continue to grow in his expertise as a clinician.
Outside of work, Carlo enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and their dogs. They are either eating beignets at City Park or getting ice cream at Creole Creamery.
