Carlo is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic on Jefferson Highway in New Orleans, Louisiana.
With almost a decade of clinical experience, Carlo has previously served in Hanger Clinics supporting major pediatric, trauma, and stroke hospitals in both Houston and New Orleans. His background includes extensive work with a wide range of diagnoses and presentations such as toe walking, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, arthrogryposis, ACL injuries, pes planus, hypotonia, back pain, and post operative care. Now practicing at the Jefferson Highway location, Carlo provides care for both pediatric and adult patients as one of the clinic’s leading orthotists, offering specialized treatment for a variety of lower and upper extremity needs. He values the O&P profession as a field that blends patient care, engineering, art, research, and collaboration.
Carlo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and speaks English and Spanish fluently. As a bilingual clinician, he builds meaningful connections with patients and their families, helping ensure clear communication and an excellent care experience for every individual he serves. He is committed to creating lasting, positive impacts on the lives of the patients he treats, while continuously advancing his expertise as a clinician.
Outside of work, Carlo enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and their dogs. They can often be found enjoying meals together, whether it is beignets at City Park, ice cream from Creole Creamery, or crawfish at home.
