Carolyn Kauert is an ABC certified prosthetist/orthotist at Hanger Clinic in Essex Junction, Vermont. 

As a clinician with more than a decade of experience in the field, Carolyn specializes in providing general orthotic and prosthetic services. She finds joy in working with patients of all ages and appreciates the opportunity to build relationships with her patients and their families. Carolyn’s goal is to empower patients to feel confident and capable of embodying their distinct purpose in the world.

Following her undergraduate degree, Carolyn worked for Massachusetts General Hospital doing cellular neurobiological research in Alzheimer’s Disease. Her background in research gave her a deep appreciation for evidence-based practices. This passion led her to the decision of working directly with people where she began pursuing a career in Orthotics and Prosthetics. 

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, weight-lifting, hiking, cross country skate skiing, and making jewelry. She continuously finds the brain and mind fascinating areas of study.
