David is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Traverse City, Michigan.
As a clinic manager with more than 5 years of experience in the field, David specializes in pediatrics and is skilled in the orthotic management of cranial remolding helmets, idiopathic and neuromuscular scoliosis, and upper and lower extremity orthotic treatment, including custom fabricated and prefabricated devices for the elbow, wrist, hand, fingers, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. David has expertise in cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, and Ehlers-Danlos. He is also skilled in scanning technology for cranial, knee, and foot/ankle.
David finds it rewarding to be able to help patients become more functional and improve their quality of life. No two cases are identical, and he enjoys working and collaborating with the family, therapists, and referring physicians. He is passionate about building those relationships and earning their trust so they want to come back, especially since many patients require a lifetime of orthotic/prosthetic care.
David also loves the challenge of working with such a wide variety of patients and conditions, ranging from mild to severe and simple to complex. His patients’ smiles of gratitude remind him that something positive came from their treatment.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica and their two wonderful children, Avery and Brantley. He likes being outdoors playing with his kids, boating, and fishing. He’s also an avid sports fan, whether watching a game on TV, attending his children’s events, or golfing with friends and family.
