Emily is an ABC-certified orthotist/prosthetist for Hanger Clinic in Wausau, Wisconsin.
As a clinician with more than a decade of experience in field, Emily provides all types of care for all ages but finds particular enjoyment in treating her pediatric patients. This includes scoliosis TLSOs, lower extremity orthoses, upper extremity orthoses, and cranial remolding orthoses, in which she specializes. As a mom of a helmet baby herself, she understands both the clinical side and the patient side of this treatment. Emily is also the Residency Director at the Wausau Clinic.
In addition to patient care, Emily is very active with advocacy and research in the field. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and is a member of the Academy’s Research Committee, as well as sitting as Vice Chair of the Academy’s Evidence-Based Practice Committee. Emily is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point Doctor of Physical Therapy program, lecturing in orthotic/prosthetic gait and spinal biomechanics.
Outside of work, Emily is an avid gamer (both tabletop and video), and enjoys reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her son and two cats.
