Emma Northrup is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Syracuse, NY.
As a clinician, Emma specializes in a variety of orthotic care, including cranial remolding orthoses (CROs), pediatric and adult ankle foot orthotics (AFOs), and spinal bracing (custom and OTS options for management of pain, scoliosis, and fractures). She works with the pediatric population, treating diagnoses including CP and Spina Bifida, and providing orthotic support to young patients who have tonal considerations that make stability a challenge. She is passionate about using her knowledge of biomechanics and human anatomy with her engineering background to create orthotic and prosthetic solutions appropriate for each patient she works with.
Emma enjoys working with the pediatric population and strives to improve outcomes while encouraging families throughout their child’s treatment. Providing positive and supportive patient care is Emma’s goal of her practice.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, backpacking, skiing, and running. She has hiked the high peaks in the Adirondacks and will spend any free time finding a new adventure with family and friends.
