Greg Armstrong is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and clinic manager for Hanger Clinic in Cedar Park, Texas.
As a clinic manager with over 21 years of experience, Greg specializes in pediatrics but has a well-rounded background in all areas of orthotics and prosthetics. His most extensive experience lies in pediatric lower extremity orthotics, with significant expertise in cranial, spinal, and both upper and lower prosthetics.
Greg grew up with a special needs brother, which gave him early exposure to orthotic devices. After leaving his job as an 18-wheeler driver, Greg returned to school at 35. While interviewing for a PA program at UT Southwestern, he noticed “Prosthetics and Orthotics” on the building directory. That moment sparked his interest. A conversation with Hanger Clinic’s, Lou Zermeno, and further research, showed Greg this field was the perfect blend of caregiving and clinical interests.
Greg’s work history includes working as the chief prosthetist orthotist for Arkansas Children’s Hospital for seven years. He has more than a decade of volunteer service on the board and committees for the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Greg also served as a governor appointed and senate confirmed O&P license board for Arkansas and received my Fellow distinction from the Academy in 2023.
Outside of work, Greg is a private pilot with a passion for travel. He has visited nearly all 50 states, with just Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut left to explore. Greg has also traveled to Mexico, Canada, Europe, South America, and parts of Asia, but knows there’s much more to still see.
