Katie is a licensed, ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist and Clinic Manager in Merrillville, IN.
With over 10 years of experience, Katie works with patients of all ages and amputation levels, specializing in upper limb and pediatric patients. She helps to serve prosthetic needs for those living in Northwest Indiana in collaboration with Shriners Children’s Chicago and Riley Hospital for Children’s Indianapolis. Katie is passionate about working with patients and their families, making sure their goals are heard. She collaborates with healthcare providers using a team approach and data-driven evidence to provide the best clinical outcomes.
In addition to patient care, Katie mentors orthotic and prosthetic students and residents during their clinical rotations. She speaks bi-monthly at Hanger’s Balance Amputee Wellness and Education Committee meetings, helping to educate and empower patients. She is also a member of Hanger’s Education Committee, helping to educate local Hanger clinicians about changing technologies in the field and clinical standards.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, bike riding with her family, and everything Harry Potter.
