Mick was inspired to pursue a career in prosthetics and orthotics after losing his limb below the knee in an accident. He really enjoys helping patients realize their potential after a life changing event. Mick began volunteering as a technician, and then pursued the education and certification he needed to see patients. He is a certified pedorthist, a certified prosthetic/orthotic assistant, and a certified fitter of orthotics. Cranial remolding orthoses have become a particular passion of his.
Mick loves that the devices and services he provides help our patients improve their lives by allowing them to continue living life to the fullest. As an amputee himself, Mick has a unique perspective regarding patient experience. He likes that he’s able to meet patients where they are and provide hope and inspiration, even at the beginning of the amputation recovery process, or in the hospital.
Outside of Hanger Clinic, Mick loves to spend time with his kids and his dog, Bear. Playing on motorbikes and riding ATV’s are also something Mick really enjoys in the great outdoors of Southern Utah.
