Philip is an ABC-certified orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Modesto, California.
As a clinician with more than 36 years of experience in the field, Philip specializes in pediatrics and is skilled in treating spina bifida, cerebral palsy, plagiocephaly, scoliosis, and other spinal cord injuries in patients of all ages.
He feels honored to be part of a patient’s first steps, helping them walk when they were previously unable to due to weakness or muscle imbalance. It is satisfying to hear patients say they are relieved from pain when they put a brace on, and it’s always a joy for him to work with babies to reshape a malformed head.
He understands the unique needs and expectations of pediatric patients and helps them understand that their brace will help them play and interact with children their age. He has adult patients he has worked with since they were toddlers, and he finds it gratifying to see them grow up and become active, productive adults.
Outside of work, Philip enjoys running and spending time with his family. He also writes young adult science fiction and fantasy novels to engage his creativity.
