Russell graduated from McMurry University in 2008 with a Major in Physics and a minor in Mathematics.  He started his O&P technician education shortly after at MK Prosthetic and Orthotic Services in San Antonio, TX.  In July of 2012 Russell pursued the opportunity to work for the Center for the Intrepid at Fort Sam Houston where he helped active and retired military personnel with upper and lower extremity prosthetic needs.  While at the CFI Russell became the lead technician in the DEKA arm research project, helping to further research and functionality of upper extremity prosthetics.
