Sandy is a licensed, ABC-certified pedorthist and BOC-certified orthotic fitter for Hanger Clinic in Springfield, Illinois.

As a clinician with more than 20 years of experience in the field, Sandy specializes in pediatrics and is a cranial remolding specialist, a pediatric and adult pedorthist, and a certified orthotic fitter for pediatric and adult patients. She focuses on foot and ankle orthotics and cranial remolding orthoses, and enjoys being able to provide appropriate orthotic devices that allow my patient’s to improve their quality of life.

She finds joy in helping people achieve their best quality of life. She especially loves working with children and seeing them smile as they accomplish their treatment goals. She was drawn to her work after experiencing scoliosis as a child. Her personal experience gives her insight into the challenges parents face while helping their children with their treatment, and she is able to advise them on ways to encourage their children to comply with their treatment plans. 

In addition to her clinical experience with cranial remolding orthoses (CRO), she has personal experience in this area. She has a grandchild that was born prematurely and benefitted from a CRO, with her as his cranial remolding specialist. She believes that guiding parents and caregivers through the process is one of the keys to a successful outcome, and she is happy to be able to share her personal experience to help parents and caregivers feel more comfortable.

Outside of work, Sandy enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and traveling.
