Erik Christensen is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Brunswick, Georgia.
As a clinician with more than 25 years of experience in prosthetics and orthotics, Erik specializes in lower extremity prosthetics, lower extremity orthotics, spinal orthotics, and pediatric orthotics. He is dedicated to helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Erik’s passion for the field began in high school when his sister sustained an injury that required ACL surgery, a knee brace, and rehabilitation. Supporting her recovery ignited his interest in rehabilitation, initially leading him toward physical therapy. However, his curiosity about the specialized devices used in patient care inspired him to pursue prosthetics and orthotics instead.
Before entering school for O&P, Erik gained valuable hands-on experience by volunteering in physical therapy clinics, burn units, nursing facilities, and orthopedic practices. His exposure to various rehabilitation environments solidified his commitment to helping others through innovative orthotic and prosthetic solutions.
Today, as a seasoned professional at Hanger Clinic, he continues to provide expert care, helping patients restore movement and enhance their daily lives.
