Alesha looks forward to opportunities that allow for an interdisciplinary approach between patients, doctors, and physical therapists. She has moderate medical Spanish communication abilities and enjoys chances to practice bilingual clinical communication with patients and their families.

Alesha worked as a teaching assistant in graduate-level lower extremity orthotics, doctoral-level interdisciplinary disability studies and assistive technologies, and undergraduate-level anatomy and physiology. She has engaged in prosthetic research comparing different knees available to various K functional levels using balance-related outcome measures, participated with research to develop a new orthotics outcome measure tool, has been published in the O&P Edge magazine, and is currently leading an investigation bridging prosthetics with Spanish to augment informed decision-making with patients with lower extremity prosthetics.

Alesha pursued her involvement in the orthotics and prosthetics field after a personal sports-related injury and uses her experience to share empathy with her patients while focusing on optimal customized clinical care.
