EmpowerFest is coming to Hollywood, Florida!
EmpowerFest is coming to sunny Florida! Grab your sunscreen, sunglasses, and swim gear to join Hanger Clinic for EmpowerFest in beautiful Hollywood, Florida. This is an event like no other for people with upper and lower limb loss and limb difference.
You’ll discover the power of shared experiences and support from an uplifting community and learn from world-class prosthetists and peers who are thriving with prosthetic technology. The lessons learned and relationships made at EmpowerFest will last a lifetime!
All ages and levels of mobility are welcome.
Activities
Hanger Clinic is partnering with several local adaptive sports organizations to bring a wide variety of water sport activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more.
Other event activities include peer support groups, a talent show, golfing, adaptive biking, seated volleyball, pickle ball, running and mobility clinics, an upper limb cooking class, and self-defense. ¡Vamos!

A second EmpowerFest is scheduled for September 6-8, 2024 in Seattle, WA – see you on the west coast in the Fall!

Parking Info: Secured, covered parking is available with in-and-out privileges. Hourly parking is available for visitors not staying at the resort.
Travel
The event begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 7 and ends at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Get driving directions to the hotel.

On Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m.–4 p.m., we’re hosting a 1-day program for kids with limb loss/limb difference or orthotic devices. This fun-filled day includes beach activities, games, art projects, dance parties, swimming, and an inspiring group of kids and families to share in their challenges, hopes, and dreams!
Event Fee for Kid’s Day: $10 per person (fee includes all activities and lunch on Saturday)

1K/5K Walk/Run
Presented by the Hanger Foundation
Saturday morning, June 8, the Hanger Foundation will be hosting a 1K/5K walk/run for all EmpowerFest attendees. All skill levels are welcome to join the challenge to cross the finish line and the Hanger Team will be there to cheer you on! Enjoy the music, earn a medal, and receive an awesome swag bag – who knew a walk/run could be this much fun! EmpowerFest attendees participate for free; please indicate if you’re interested during registration.
