Heather is an ABC-certified prosthetist-orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Lafayette, Colorado. She specializes in pediatric cases including new walkers, cranial asymmetries, autism and sensory sensitivities, unique and rare diagnoses, and complex lower extremity and multi-limb presentations.
As a pediatric-focused clinician she focuses on pursuing functional and rehabilitative solutions through a combination of creativity and evidence-based practice. She is passionate about education for other practitioners and caregivers of the patients she treats, and is subsequently involved with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and the Association of Children’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics in research, writing, and speaking. She welcomes an interdisciplinary approach to ensure the most optimized patient care possible.
Outside of work Heather enjoys outdoor adventures, fitness, cooking, home improvement projects, and spending time with her friends and family. She also volunteers her time with pediatric hippotherapy programs, adaptive pediatric wheelchair builds, and with adaptive sports clinics and competitions.
