Chad Thompson is the Area Clinic Business Manager for Hanger Clinic in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Chad is also a Certified Peer Visitor for the AMPOWER program, a peer-to-peer network designed to empower and strengthen those affected by amputation or limb difference through peer mentorship, educational resources, and community events.
Chad was introduced to the field of orthotics and prosthetics in 1992 after an amputation following a hunting accident. His personal experience drives his passion for improving the lives of his patients by ensuring they are supported and educated throughout the continuum of care.
For over 10 years, Chad has been instrumental in enhancing Hanger Clinic’s clinical collaboration with healthcare partners throughout the state, improving access to care for patients and access to services for providers.
Today, Chad works closely with his healthcare partners in Bangor and the surrounding area in an effort to better serve the community he calls home. Chad and his team put their patients at the center of what they do, providing compassionate and timely orthotic and prosthetic care, and empowering patient experiences and outcomes through a collaborative healthcare approach.
Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and golfing.
