Steve Baxter is an ABC-certified orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Sugarland, Texas.
As a clinician with more than 40 years of experience, Steve works with patients of all ages with a focus on pediatrics in need of orthotic care. He enjoys making a difference in his patients’ lives and particularly likes working with kids as they know no limits. He is skilled in the management of pediatric patients with numerous orthopedic, neurologic, and rheumatological diseases, and he specializes in the orthotic management of cerebral palsy, spinal bifida, scoliosis, stroke, and sports injuries. Steve also provides orthotic services for the adult population focusing on geriatric, stroke, and neurologic issues.
Prior to joining Hanger Clinic in 2012, Steve worked for renowned institutions including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics and Shriners Hospital for Children. Throughout his tenure as a certified orthotist, he has authored many professional posters and presentations on various topics relating to pediatric orthotics. He has given nearly 50 presentations to doctors, therapists, nurses, student nurses, orthopedic residents, and charity groups concerning orthotic treatment of pediatric patients, sports orthotics, geriatric, and stroke orthotic interventions.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys golf, the gym, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family.
