Therapists, prosthetists and medical professionals cannot register for this event. This event is only for bilateral above-knee amputee participants.

The 2021 Bilateral Above-Knee Amputee (BAKA) Bootcamp is for bilateral above-knee prosthetic users interested in improving their daily function and abilities. This 3-day interactive workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of what is possible for a full-time prosthetic user. No matter what your mobility level is, you will leave this weekend inspired to RISE to the very best of your abilities. You will be challenged and encouraged by fellow people with limb loss as well as an exceptional Hanger Clinic team, led by Kevin Carroll, MS, CP, FAAOP/D.

October 14-16, 2021
Registration open 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the hotel lobby; Event starts at 8 a.m. on October 14 and ends at 2 p.m. on October 16

Registration: $20 per person
Participants are responsible for flight and hotel expenses. All meals will be covered during event hours.

Fully accessible rooms are limited, so please book early if you need an accessible room. You may also ask for a shower chair. 

Travel

The nearest airport to the hotel is Ronald Reagan International (DCA). Accessible transportation will be provided from the airport to the hotel. Once you register, you will receive more information.
