Hanger Clinic’s EmpowerFest is an event like-no-other for people with upper and lower limb loss. You’ll discover the power of shared experiences and support from an uplifting community and learn from world-class prosthetists and peers who are thriving with prosthetic technology. The lessons learned and relationships made at EmpowerFest will last a lifetime!
All ages and levels of mobility are welcome.
Activities:
Hanger Clinic is partnering with the National Ability Center in Park City for an awesome day of adventure in the mountains on Saturday. This beautiful facility has so much to offer people with limb loss, including rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, ropes course, sled hockey, archery, adaptive biking, seated volleyball, pickle ball, and more!
Other event activities include peer support groups, swimming, golf, running and mobility clinics, upper limb cooking class, diet and nutrition.

Self-Parking is discounted to $8 per night and valet is $15 per night.
Travel:
The event begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, July 7 and ends at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 9.

Salt Lake City International Airport is located 7 miles west of the hotel and less than a 10 minute drive. Transportation options are Taxi or UBER/Lyft (~$20).

On Saturday, July 8, we’re hosting a 1-day program at the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah, just for kids with limb loss or orthotics needs. This fun-filled day includes a ropes course, adaptive biking, kids games, dance parties, art projects, and an inspiring group of kids and families to share in their challenges, hopes, and dreams!
Event Fee for Kid’s Day: $10 per person (fee includes all activities and lunch on Saturday)
Hotel: Stay at our host hotel, Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City. Book your room online and then take the shuttle to the National Ability Center with the EmpowerFest group. Or meet us at 9 a.m. at the National Ability Center for EmpowerYOUth.
1K/5K Walk/Run
Presented by the Hanger Foundation
Saturday morning, July 8, the Hanger Foundation will be hosting a 1K/5K walk/run for all EmpowerFest attendees. All skill levels are welcome to join the challenge to cross the finish line and the Hanger Team will be there to cheer you on! Enjoy the music, earn a medal, and receive an awesome swag bag – who knew a walk/run could be this much fun! EmpowerFest attendees participate for free; please indicate if you’re interested during registration.
