Angela is a certified prosthetist/orthotist and Clinic Manger for Hanger Clinic in Colorado Springs, CO.
Each orthotic and prosthetic patient presents with their own unique challenges and obstacles. The orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) field is constantly changing and requires creative, individualized treatment solutions to optimize patient mobility and plan of care. Angela is passionate about the O&P field because she has the ability and inherent propensity to think outside of the box and provide patients with innovative solutions to improve their mobility deficiencies. She enjoys being the best advocate for her patients and assuring them that she is dedicated to providing them with the best care to improve their quality of life.
As a pediatric orthotic and prosthetic specialist, Angela works closely with Children’s Hospital of Colorado and therapy services to provide orthotic and prosthetic solutions for individuals with spina bidfida, cerebral palsy, cranial asymmetry, craniosynostosis, congenital talipes equinovarus, rotationplasty, spastic hemiplegia, genetic mutations, chromosomal deficiencies, and general hypotonia and hypertonia. She is trained to provide the WalkAide for foot drop for pediatric and adult populations. Outside of the pediatric population, Angela also specializes in providing prosthetic care for lower extremity adult amputees.
When it comes to cranial care, Angela particularly enjoys working closely with the families of each child to set goals and determine a plan to reach those goals together. She provides families with her direct contact information, so they also feel like they have a resource if they have immediate questions or concerns. As a firm believer in a multi-disciplinary approach to care, Angela also works closely with physical therapists and referring physicians to ensure they are working as a team to enable the best possible correction. Families just want to know their child is going to be okay, and Angela takes pride in being that outlet, giving them full confidence that everything will be done to correct the asymmetry and make the care journey as stress-free as possible.
Outside of work you can find Angela and her spouse, Nick, in the mountains. She loves to snowboard, hike, camp, climb, run and golf.
