Brianne LaBorde is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist who provides care to patients in the Acadiana region. After graduating in March of 2015 with her master’s degree, she began both orthotic and prosthetic residencies in the Lafayette office, not far from her hometown of Houma, LA. She was excited to join the team at the Lafayette location because of the long-standing reputation the clinic has for providing quality care through a highly personable staff.
Bri is honored to be able to provide a tangible tool to help her patients regain independence, confidence, and ability. The most rewarding part of her job is to watch her patients transform, not just in regards to physical ability, but as a whole person: physically and emotionally.
Bri has a passion for educating patients throughout the orthotic/prosthetic device process, helping empower her patients to reach their goals functionally and holistically. With this in mind, she approaches prosthetic patients with an understanding heart and enjoys being a source of constant support that helps patients through the highs and lows they experience. She recognizes that over the course of care she provides, a patient and their support system may move from a place of bitterness and depression to confidence and purpose, and she is honored to walk alongside them. In 2017, she received the JE Hanger Award for Excellence in Innovation as part of the Transfemoral Adjustable Socket Team.
In addition to enjoying her little family, Bri has been a lifelong athlete and enjoys being active, traveling, and reading in her free time.
