Daniel Melnik is an ABC‑licensed Pedorthist for Hanger Clinic in Illinois.
As a clinician, Daniel specializes in the evaluation, design, and modification of footwear and orthotic solutions to address a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. After earning a Pedorthic Certificate from Baker College in Flint, Michigan, Dan began practicing in 2013 and has since built a reputation for clinical skill, patient‑centered care, and a deep commitment to improving mobility and comfort for individuals of all ages.
In addition to being an ABC Certified Pedorthist, Daniel is also a Certified Orthotic Fitter through the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC). While cross‑trained in multiple areas of orthotic care, Dan’s primary focus and passion remain in pedorthics—helping patients find practical, effective solutions for foot pain, gait issues, and chronic lower‑extremity conditions.
Daniel’s interest in the field began with personal experience. Having dealt with foot and ankle pain firsthand, Dan learned how proper footwear, orthotic intervention, and targeted support can transform daily function. That insight continues to shape Daniel’s approach today: empathetic, educational, and grounded in real‑world understanding of what patients are going through.
Outside of work, Daniel maintains an active lifestyle and values fitness, movement, and overall well‑being—principles that naturally complement a career dedicated to keeping others on their feet.
