Dennis Hoekzema is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Grand Rapids and Byron Center, Michigan.
As a clinician with a strong technical foundation and over a decade of experience in the orthotics and prosthetics field, Dennis began his career with three years as a fabrication technician, gaining hands-on expertise that continues to inform his clinical work. Dennis has since spent seven years in patient care and has been with Hanger for the past three years.
Dennis primarily treats patients requiring lower limb prosthetics and adult orthotic care. His technical background allows him to think creatively and develop practical, patient-centered solutions tailored to each individual’s challenges and goals.
He regularly staffs a multidisciplinary amputee clinic alongside Dr. Suzara, collaborating closely to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care. Dennis values building strong relationships with his patients and is especially motivated by helping them set mobility goals and watching them achieve meaningful progress.
Outside of work, Dennis enjoys staying active and creative. He spends his free time playing ice hockey, drumming, going to stand-up comedy shows, and enjoying quality time with his wife, family, and friends.
